Dear Reader,
A day recently passed that marks a special occasion as our youngest granddaughter, Madelyn, celebrated her first birthday. It’s a delightful coincidence that her birth date, March 4th, aligns with the only day in the year that doubles as a command. To commemorate this milestone, we gathered together, adorning the space with decorations and filling it with presents and birthday hats. Though ostensibly for Madelyn’s enjoyment, it’s evident that the adults derived just as much, if not more, pleasure from the festivities.
Watching Madelyn, with her innocent enthusiasm, unwrap her presents and dive into her cake fills our hearts with joy. Her unworldly presence adds a special sparkle to each day, reminding us of the love that surrounds us.
Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but the everyday wonders of having Madelyn in our lives.
