PUBLISHER'S LETTER - Celebrating on the Road

Dear Reader,
I have been on the road for the last week in Spain hiking the Camino (the Way), which is a religious pilgrimage that travelers have followed for centuries in honor of St. James. I walked part of it in 2015 and got the Certificate in Santiago de Compostela that indicates completion of 100 kilometers. This year I’m a little older but still have the hardiness of a native Wisconsinite.

The sights and sounds have had an impact on me; but even more so, the people I’ve met have touched my heart.

Pilgrims gather from all over the world to walk the Camino, and each has a story to tell. I’ve been listening to wayfarers share their experiences, and it’s magical to witness the growth and unfolding that wreathes through each person’s life. When you look past our hats, jackets, and costumes and dig into what we’re made of, it’s a positive force of laughter, fun, and the joy of life, of being here – or wherever! – and sharing the celebration.
