MARQUETTE — Florence Brumm, 96, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at Mission Point, Ishpeming. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Flo’s life will occur later this summer and will be announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, those desiring a tribute to Flo may wish to consider UPAWS or the Marquette Regional History Museum. Louis Feak Jr.

BATES TWP. — Louis Warren Feak Jr., 68, passed away after a ten-year fight with liver cancer on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024. Lou, also known as "Butch," "The Candyman," and "Poppa Doc," spent his final days at the farm with his family and friends always close by. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, at the United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls, Michigan, starting at 10 a.m., with Reverend D.J. Rasner officiating memorial services at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. The family has trusted Nash Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Crystal Falls with his final wishes.

Marilyn Parcels

CEDAR RIVER — Marilyn J. Parcels, 91, died on Thursday, Feb.  8, 2024. She was born Sept. 27, 1932, one of five daughters of the late Herbert and Myrtle Corey. Services will be held at the first Presbyterian Church in Menominee this summer. Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family. IRON RIVER — Jody P. Parker, 56, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024. Visitation was held Feb. 13 at the Cornerstone Bible Church. Shirley Sharum

LAWTON, Okla. — Shirley Mae Sharum died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at the age of 87. Funeral service for Shirley Mae Sharum was held  Feb. 16 in the University Church of Christ with her son, Eric Sharum, having officated. SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. — Mariam Irma Melchiori Sorby passed away peacefully in Sun City Center on Feb. 4, 2024. There will be two celebrations of Mariam’s life; one in Sun City Center, Fla. on March 22 at 11 a.m. and another in Iron River on July 2, 2024. IRON RIVER — Gary “Bugs” VanWagner peacefully passed away on Jan. 6, 2024 at the age of 68. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
