LANSING — The Michigan Department of Transportation has begun a project on U.S. 141 in Crystal Falls and continuing north to Basilio Road north of Amasa.
The project began on Tuesday with an estimated completion date of early September.
MDOT is investing approximately $1.2 million to resurface the nearly 16-mile stretch. The project includes a scrub seal, single chip seal, fog seal, aggregate shoulders, and pavement markings.
Traffic will be maintained on U.S.141 using traffic shifts and single-lane closures using traffic regulators.
MDOT said this project will result in a smoother driving surface, extending the lifespan of the roadway and increasing safety.
The project map is available on Mi Drive.
