Students test friction during a snowy science class

Stambaugh Elementary School third grade teacher Veronica Junak has been teaching her students about friction in her science class. To test their knowledge, the students made cardboard sleds and raced them down the sledding hill at Nelson Field. “Interesting how they went faster when the path got smoother,” Junak said.
