IRON RIVER — St. Cecilia and St. Agnes churches host a St. Vincent de Paul Conference. The conference runs a food pantry and financial aid office that serves the west side of Iron County and operates with volunteers from several faiths.
Assisting those who are struggling with basic needs is the work of the conference. Besides food, the conference can assist with urgent needs for rent and transportation. It also aids families in applying for utility assistance through DHHS or the Superior Watershed Partnership.
The food pantry/office operates upstairs of the St. Vincent de Paul store at 313 W. Genesee St. It is open on Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The pantry/office requires identification and income information.
To assist the effort, help can be given by donating food or money. Checks can be designated to the pantry or conference.  Call 265-9390 with any questions.
The food pantry thanks the community for its past help.
The conference reports to the St Vincent de Paul Iron Mountain District. The Iron River St Vincent store is run by the district.
