Pair arrested on meth charges

CRYSTAL FALLS—A pair of Florence County residents were arrested on meth charges in May and appeared at probable cause conferences on May 27 in Iron County Trial Court.
    Brittany Lyn Russell, 30, formerly of Iron River, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance – methamphetamine  (a 20-year felony), three counts of delivery of methamphetamine (a 20-year felony), two counts of possession of methamphetamine (a 10-year felony) and one count of bringing contraband (methamphetamine) into a prison (a five-year felony). The charges stem from incidents on May 9 and May 16.
    Chad Bonetti, 29, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance -methamphetamine, one count of delivery of methamphetamine and one count of maintaining a drug house, in this case, a vehicle, (a two-year high court misdemeanor) from an incident on May 16.
    Russell and Bonetti are co-defendants on one of the files and are listed on the felony complaints as living at the same address in Florence.
    A preliminary examination in the Russell case is set for June 17 at 3 p.m. The prelim for Bonetti is scheduled for June 10 at 11 a.m.
    Russell posted a $7,500 cash/surety bond and will be subject to random drug screens and must not use, consume or possess any illegal drug or be in the presence of anyone possessing illegal drugs.
    Bonetti posted a $5,000 cash/surety bond and will be subject to same bond conditions as Russell.
