IC passengers hurt in two-vehicle crash

NEGAUNEE—Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police investigated a two-vehicle personal injury crash involving an Iron River driver on Nov. 7.
A press release said the MSP was dispatched to the intersection of M-95 and County Road 601 in Humboldt Township at 9:44 p.m. Eastern Time.
The report said Pamela Rosenthal of Iron River was southbound on M-95 when she lost control of her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. The car crossed into the northbound lane and was struck by a northbound 2010 Toyota Corolla operated by Rosa Klumpp of Florence.
Rosenthal and one of her passengers, Angela Townsend of Caspian, were transported to the Marquette General Hospital emergency room for what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
Another passenger in Rosenthal’s vehicle was not injured and not identified. Neither Klumpp nor her passenger was injured.
Rosenthal was cited for speeding, too fast for conditions. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Humboldt Township Fire Department and Bell EMS.
