FP Board updated on Final Four floor

AMASA—During the first part of its three-month journey to area townships, the Forest Park School Board received an update about the recent timber sale from its school forest.
The Oct. 27 meeting was held at the Hematite Township Hall.
Lumber from the Forest Park timber sale is being processed and will be made into the floor that will be used at the NCAA Division 1 men’s Final Four, which is taking place in Indianapolis in early April. As usual, Connor Sports Flooring of Amasa will be creating the floor—this time, they will use wood from the Forest Park forest.
Board Member Don Peterson told the board that two more loads of wood still had to be moved from the site. Once that is done, final payments will be made.
He also said he plans to present a full plan for the school forest, after working with school forester Brock Van Oss. “He’s got a lot of ideas,” Peterson said. The next timber sale could be held next spring
