Not guilty plea in Donati case
CRYSTAL FALLS—An Iron River man facing multiple felony drug and weapons charges pleaded not guilty to all charges in Iron County Trial Court on Feb. 10.
     Damian Darren Donati, 38, has been charged with one count each of delivery/manufacture of cocaine (less than 50 grams), psilocybin and marijuana, one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon--felonious assault. He was arrested in Iron River on Jan. 20 when he allegedly brandished a .45 caliber handgun against two men and a woman....

Kontney accepts plea agreement

CRYSTAL FALLS—An Iron River man accused of multiple felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a pair of incidents last year pleaded no contest to three of the charges in a re-arraignment in Iron County Trial Court on Feb. 10.
    Kyle Kontney, 24, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of operating while intoxicated and breaking and entering–illegal entry for an incident in October 2016 in which he broke into Pastor Seth Waters’ residence on Genesee Street.


Rankin again pleads not guilty
CRYSTAL FALLS—The criminal case against former massage therapist Joseph Rankin Jr. went through another adaptation at a re-arraignment on an amended information complaint in Iron County Trial Court on Feb. 10.
    Rankin, 25, will now face one count of unauthorized practice of a health profession, a four-year felony, one count of assault or assault and battery, a 93-day misdemeanor, and a criminal sexual con-
duct–second degree charge, a 15-year felony.
    Through defense attorney Roy Polich, Rankin pleaded not guilty to all the charges.    
    Rankin originally faced two counts of unauthorized practice for two separate alleged incidents last year as well as criminal sexual conduct fourth degree and an obscenity charge....
