CF woman arrested for embezzlement

CRYSTAL FALLS—A Crystal Falls woman was charged with embezzling between $50,000 and $100,000 from Lake Shore Systems over a three-year period on Nov. 13 in Iron County Trial Court.
    Laura Lee Sartori, 53, was charged with one count of felony embezzlement from the former Oldenburg Group and the current Lake Shore Systems in Iron River, according to the criminal complaint.
    The alleged crimes took place between Oct. 18, 2013, and Oct. 17, 2016, while Sartori was employed by the company, according to the complaint.
    Sartori faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine or three times the amount embezzled, whichever is greater.
    Sartori is free on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
    A probable cause conference is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 27, and a preliminary examination on Dec. 4.
