CF man accused of sexual assaults

CRYSTAL FALLS—A Crystal Falls man was charged Feb. 23 on six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a boy stemming from incidents in 2000-07.
    Earl Ralph Otchingwanigan, 80, is accused of engaging in criminal sexual conduct with a boy, who according to the felony complaint, was “under the age of 13 or at least 13 and less than 16” and that the defendant and the victim were members of the same household.
    The crimes are felonies, each with a maximum sentence of life in prison.
    A probable cause hearing was held Monday, while a preliminary examination is scheduled for March 12.
