SAGOLA - On Feb. 10 the Sagola Township Sportsmens Club (STSC) held its annual Gun and Knife Show at the Club on Eddy Lake. During the show the STSC also holds the drawing for its side by side which is raffled off every year as a fundraiser. Traditionally, the drawing takes place at noon on the last day of the gun show, and this year was no exception.

The prize machine this year was a 2023 Honda Pioneer 700. The machine was purchased from Cycle City in Escanaba. The winner of this year’s prize was John Budde of Hesperia. John stated he purchased five tickets this past year from the Crystal Falls area. The winning ticket was sold at the Michi-Aho Resort in Crystal Falls. John took possession of the machine on Feb. 16 in Escanaba. He was pleased to see the machine had a large enough box for his dogs to ride with him and his wife.

The Sagola Township Sportsmens Club conducts its annual raffle as a fundraiser for the many charitable functions which they contribute to yearly. Some of the many programs the proceeds go toward are: hunters education/safety, youth shooting programs, scholarships to seniors from local schools and many more.
