Jobs will be located at Forest Service offices across the Ottawa, including the Kenton Ranger District Office in Kenton, the Ontonagon Ranger District Office in Ontonagon, the Bessemer Ranger District Office located in Ironwood, and the Watersmeet District Office located in Watersmeet. The rate of pay will be $15 per hour. The employment period will be full time from June 17 through Aug. 9. Note that the starting date may be changed to accommodate local school calendars that may need to make up snow days. Selected candidates would be notified of any change prior to the start date. Enrollees must provide their own transportation to the duty station and no housing will be provided. Potential enrollees must apply through their school guidance counselor or submit their application directly to the Ottawa National Forest Supervisor’s Office in Ironwood. All applications must be received in the Supervisor’s Office by March 8. Any application received after that date will not be considered; also, any illegible applications will not be considered.

Applicants will be notified of selection or non-selection. For further information on the overall program or to obtain applications, please contact Jen Fox at the Ottawa National Forest Supervisor’s Office, 906-285-6913 or jennifer.fox@usda.gov.
