Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship

The Young Women in Public Affairs Award is a Zonta International program funded by contributions to the Zonta Foundation for Women. Zonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working to build a better world for women and girls.

Local Zonta Club of Iron Mountain – Kingsford announces Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Scholarship. Recognizing young women for their commitment to volunteerism, volunteer leadership achievements and dedication to empowering women worldwide.

This scholarship is available to young women ages 16 through 19 years old.

The club will be accepting applications through Tuesday, March 12. Applications are available at the guidance offices at all local area high schools, including: Iron Mountain HS, Kingsford HS, Norway-Vulcan HS, North Dickinson HS, Florence HS, Niagara HS, Forest Park HS and Pembine HS. 

The award is an initial $500 scholarship with an opportunity to be awarded an additional $5,000 from the Zonta District.
