Krist Oil awarded the 2023 Above and Beyond Award

IRON RIVER – On May 13, Krist Oil was awarded the Above and Beyond Award in recognition of the company and its owners going the extra mile for active military members—beyond the requirements of the law. The award was presented on behalf of the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve Forces for outstanding service and continuing support to the National Defense.
First Sergeant and Krist Oil Regional Retail Supervisor Wesley (Wes) Amerson nominated the company for this award. He has been working with Krist since 2019 in addition to his service in the Michigan Army National Guard for 20 years including completion of two combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as non-combat deployments including Hurricane Katrina relief, Latia, Egypt and Poland. Wes graduated from Sergeant Major Academy on Friday, March 31, making him eligible for a Sergeant Major position—the highest rank achievable as a noncommissioned officer. To be nominated by him is a true honor.
