The Dickinson Area Community Foundation, along with affiliate Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation, recently awarded a $250 mini grant to the Iron Range Amateur Radio Club. The funds will be used to purchase materials to construct a working amateur radio display. Additionally, the antique WIKB radio station studio equipment will be moved, refurbished and installed as well. Pictured, from left, are Al Anderson (president of the Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation), and Paul Penkivech (treasurer of Iron Range Amateur Radio Club) as well as Sandie Nies and Pastor Dan Waters, both board members of the radio club.
