IRON RIVER — While the Windsor Auditorium has seen little activity due to COVID-19 this year, the Friends of the Windsor Center recently completed the auditorium entry project.
Old doors were replaced during the summer, the front facade painted, and an awning announcing “Arts & Entertainment” was installed by Northern Awning and Window of Marquette on Dec. 14.
“An eight-man crew braved a stiff north wind and temperatures in the teens to complete the project,” said George Peterson of the Friends of the Windsor Center.
The auditorium is home to The West End Players and Open Mic Night which showcase local talent, bringing theater and concert performances to the community.
“Once restrictions are lifted, the new portico will provide an attractive and welcoming entryway,” Peterson said.
