MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Mansfield Township Hall will host a visit from the “Wicked Witch of the West” in lieu of its normal community Halloween party. The event will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“Sadly, there can’t be a community party in Mansfield this year to celebrate Halloween with the usual costume parade, games, pinata and pumpkin contest,” Shirley Beck said. “However, the Wicked Witch of the West has agreed to fly in on her broomstick to greet the kids and hand out goodie bags all while maintaining COVID-19 safety guidelines.”
All Mansfield residents, family and friends are invited to stop by. The Witch, along with her ghoulish assistant, will be at the Mansfield Township Hall positioned on the entry steps. All treat bags will be individually wrapped and handed out with gloved hands. Brunhilda and her helper will also have protective facemasks in place under their Halloween masks.
Adults accompanying children are asked to also wear their protective face coverings.
