Local blood donations opportunities set

MADISON, Wis — The American Red Cross typically has a tough time keeping the blood supply strong during the winter months when inclement weather and seasonal illnesses can impact donors. This year the pandemic adds another challenge in keeping the blood supply strong. The Red Cross is urging healthy individuals to make an appointment to give blood or platelets this month.
Two Iron County blood donation opportunities are scheduled in February.
Crystal Falls
Feb. 10 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 20 S. 5th Street
Iron River
Feb. 11 – noon to 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 800 Selden Road.
