IRON RIVER — The Iron County Golden K Club has announced the beginning of the annual fund drive for its Gifts from Santa program.
The Gifts from Santa program originally began as “Snaps with Santa” in the 1980s. This project provides Christmas presents for all nursing home residents (approximately 300) in Iron County, including the Iron County Medical Care Facility, the Iron River Care Center, and the Boyington Place.
The Golden K raises funds through sales from a raffle and contributions from businesses and individuals for advertising on holiday placemats, which are distributed to restaurants in Iron County. Donations must be received by Oct. 1, 2020 to allow time to print the placemats and distribute them before the holidays.
