CRYSTAL FALLS - Classes will be happening at the library throughout the month of February. There will be two classes every Monday, Crochet class from 9-11 a.m. and music production class from 5-7 p.m. Every Tuesday a knitting class from 9-11 a.m. On Thursdays there will be a quilting class from 9-11 a.m. (some knowledge required) and Tech troubleshooting from 1-3 p.m. Tai Chi class will be the first and last Friday of every month at 10 a.m. also 2024 Oscar-Nominated Films will be shown every Friday at 1 p.m. These classes run through March 8.
Crafting with Marissa happens the last Thursday of every month at 6 p.m.
There will be four special events during the month of February. A Healthy Heart Story Hour on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. P.E. Teacher Leah Ryan will lead a story hour all about keeping your heart active and healthy. There will be refreshments served, and each child will build their own jump rope that they can then take home!
Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m. there will be a Chinese New Year Story Hour. Children will get to listen to several books about the Chinese New Year. Refreshments will be served, and we will make foam fortune cookies for a craft. All children will get a Chinese New Year Book to add to their home library.
Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m., there will be a Valentine’s Day Jigsaw Puzzle Challenge. All are welcome, and the Friends of the Library will be providing treats. Also starting on Valentine’s Day, the Friends of the Library will have several books wrapped up that you can check out for their Blind Date with a Book Event. Come check out a book and then go home and unwrap and read it for a fun surprise!
Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m., there will be a Vroom! Vroom! Story Hour all about Cars. Children will listen to lots of stories about cars and then they will get a snack and juice box. They will get a car-themed book to take home and add to their personal home library.
