New event times at County Fair

IRON RIVER—The Iron County Fair is celebrating its 124th year this summer. Opening day is set for Wednesday, Aug. 27. The closing day is Sunday, Aug. 31.
A few events have been scheduled on different days this year, including the 4-H market livestock auction, which now takes place Saturday at 2 p.m. The draft horse pull is now Thursday at 6 p.m. The arts and crafts sales are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Carnival specials will be offered Thursday through Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.

Miners Day picnic set for Aug. 31

CASPIAN—Rainbow the Clown will welcome one and all to the Miners Day family picnic at the Iron County Museum on Sunday, Aug. 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Free face painting will be part of the day’s fun. Other activities include a slide show by Michael Riech, Curator of Earthhaven Museum in Gillett, Wis.
