IRON RIVER—After playing well and winning its first three games this season, West Iron’s boys team left town for its first road game on Dec. 27—and promptly went into the ditch.
Escanaba greeted their visitors by scoring the first 17 points of their nonconference game on the way to an 86-56 thumping.

CRYSTAL FALLS—Things are looking up for Forest Park’s boys basketball team.
After a shaky start against Florence, the Trojans got busy and notched a solid 67-49 win Dec. 17 at the Eddie Chambers Gym.

 
Gussert’s 30 leads FP past Florence

CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park’s girls game with Florence Dec. 18 went the regulation 32 minutes. In reality it was all over early.
With Lexi Gussert scoring 18 points in the first eight minutes, the Lady Trojans led 23-7 after the first quarter on their way to a 62-24 win. Gussert finished with 30 points.
