IRON RIVER—Three wins in four days. Last week was the West Iron girls’ most intense part of the season—and a big success.
The Wykons won 50-28 at Hancock on Feb. 11; 47-40 at Westwood on Feb. 12; and 68-54 over Calumet at home on Feb. 14.

CRYSTAL FALLS—Putting that stumble against Kingsford behind them, Forest Park’s girls team added two road wins to its ledger last week, boosting its season record to 16-1. The Lady Trojans remain 10-0 in Skyline Conference action.

IRON RIVER—West Iron’s boys basketball team spent much of last week deep in the woods with the snoozing bears, hibernating for a game and a half.

CRYSTAL FALLS—Due to its jumbled-up schedule, Forest Park’s boys basketball team played three games in four nights last week. The Trojans did pretty good for themselves, winning two of them.

IRON RIVER—Despite playing hard, West Iron’s girls team had to take two losses last week.
The Wykons couldn’t hold on to a lead at L’Anse on Feb. 4 and lost 55-52 to the Purple Hornets. Back home on Feb. 7, Forest Park played a strong game and won 61-39.
