West Iron County’s first undefeated football team and its coaches stood for a team photo Oct. 25 after defeating Bark River-Harris 44-18 in their final regular season game at Harris. This Friday, Nov. 1, the Wykons host Traverse City St. Francis in the first game of the Division 7 playoffs at Nelson Field.
IRON RIVER—Don’t put away the signs yet. Keep the stadium blankets handy. Football season isn’t over yet. In Iron County, it could continue for much of November.

BARK RIVER--As the final seconds of the Oct. 25 game here ticked away, the Bark River-Harris PA announcer noted the historic moment at 8:16 p.m.—West Iron County had just completed its first undefeated season in school history.

 
Trojans rout LLH 35-0 in finale

CRYSTAL FALLS—Lest we forget, there’s more than one Iron County football team that enters the playoff season with a perfect record.
Forest Park wrapped up its latest 9-0 season Oct. 26 at Lake Linden-Hubbell, where they blasted the playoff-bound Lakes in the second half, winning 35-0.

IRON RIVER—At their final meeting of the regular season here Oct. 22, the West Iron and Forest Park volleyball coaches saw things they liked—and things they wished they hadn’t seen.
