CRYSTAL FALLS—When North Dickinson visited Forest Park on Jan. 21, it ended with the Trojans’ narrowest win of the year, 71-67.
In the rematch Feb. 4, the Nordics roared back from far behind with a 23-14 fourth quarter, but Forest Park still wound up on the good side a 57-55 score. A win’s a win.

 
Wykon boys’ win string ends at two

IRON RIVER—After going 11 games and nearly two months without a victory, West Iron’s boys team won its second in a row here Feb. 4, rallying past Kingsford 51-47, outscoring the Flivvers 7-0 in the final minutes to nail down the victory.

CRYSTAL FALLS—Forest Park’s girls breezed past what could be the greatest remaining threat to a perfect regular season Jan. 30 when the Lady Trojans overcame the loss of a starter to defeat Kingsford 70-47.

IRON RIVER—After earning a berth in the A division championship games of the Michigan-Wisconsin junior high tournament, West Iron’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams both had to wait 10 days to play for the championships.

CRYSTAL FALLS—You want intensity? Forest Park’s boys team got all the intensity it could handle last week, but the Trojans and their fans have to be pleased how it all turned out.
The Red and Black survived a fourth quarter rally against North Dickinson on Jan. 21, winning 71-67, and then turned away Carney-Nadeau 54-50 on Jan. 24.

IRON RIVER—    West Iron’s girls varsity team enjoyed its most successful week of the season last week, earning solid wins at home over Norway (53-31 on Jan. 20) at North Dickinson (52-39 on Jan. 23).
