FP boys, girls earn golf titles
CHICAUGON LAKE—Forest Park’s golf team wound up on the top of the leader board May 19, earning team honors in the Skyline-Central U.P. Conference Championships, held at the George Young Golf Course.

Add another girls Division 2 regional team title to the trophy collection at West Iron. The Wykons won the title at Nelson Field on May 16.

IRON RIVER—In a season filled with powerful performances, the West Iron County girls track team wound up and threw a haymaker at its Division 2 regional rivals May 16 at Nelson Field.

 
Forest Park girls first at snowy D3 regional

CRYSTAL FALLS—Rain. Snow. A strong breeze. Temperatures in the mid 30s. Wet grass.
Forest Park athletes didn’t only have to battle top contenders from six other schools during the Division 3 regional track meet at North Dickinson May 15. The elements gave everyone a rough time.

NORWAY—At long last, Forest Park’s track team got to go outdoors last week and take part in a tournament.

Remember back when we had a real spring, and girls at track meets would absorb some rays when they had a chance? This was at a track meet at Norway last year, and we hope this is the last photo from the 2013 archives we have to dig up. Time’s a-wasting. The regional tournaments are just a week away!

While her school records are in the low hurdles, Cassilyn Pellizzer obviously had no trouble with the high hurdles during last week’s indoor meet in Woodruff, Wis.
IRON RIVER—The West Iron County girls track program has experienced a resurgence in recent years. The Wykons have won five straight regional titles, finished Division 2 runners-up in 2010 and 2011 at the U.P. Finals and captured the West Pac Conference championship last season.
