All signs point to a busy week coming up in Alpha, as the village celebrates its centennial July 3 to 5.

ALPHA—The village of Alpha will be celebrating its 100th birthday for three days starting on July 3 and continuing through July 5.
Many activities are scheduled around the circle, on the lawn, by the ball court and at the pavilion in Alpha.

The Iron County Medical Care Facility and the Iron County Department of Human Services Board held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly expanded and renovated complex at the ICMCF on Sunday, June 22. The Skyway Short-Term Rehab Living Center and the Willow Memory Care Unit were open for tours following the ceremony. NorthStar will join Aspirus on July 1

IRON RIVER—The affiliation between NorthStar Health System and Aspirus became official on Monday as NorthStar announced it will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aspirus effective July 1.
