Great performance To the editor: I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the West End Players of Iron County on their excellent performances of Cinderella on Friday, May 4; Sunday, May 6, and Monday, May 7. The performances were very well attended and were held at the Windsor Center, Iron River.

Kudos to all To the editor: Kudos to all who helped at the Iron County Museum cleanup on April 21. Members of the West Iron Key Club, participating museum board members and other volunteers and friends made this a special day for the museum.

Pack 508 says ‘thanks’ To the editor: Cub Scout Pack 508 would like to thank all of the people who supported the spaghetti dinner held on April 10 at the United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls. With all of the generosity from the communities of Crystal Falls and Iron River, we will be sending all Cub Scouts who want to go to Camp Hiawatha this August.

The whole truth To the editor: On March 28, 2012, a letter to the editor that I wrote was printed in that issue of the Reporter. My subject was trying to get any interested party to run for the County Board in the Aug. 7th primary. I did some research before writing my letter so I was sure that what I was saying was the absolute truth.

Excellent care To the editor: We often hear people talking about having to leave the area for health care services. However, I recently had outpatient knee surgery at NorthStar Health System right here in Iron County and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Boundaries overstepped To the editor: Anglers and recreational folks beware; another invasive species ordinance has been passed on our local Iron County fisheries. Bates Township has now joined partnership with Stambaugh Township and their ordinance to control invasive species such as Chicaugon Lake on waters that belong to us.

Too valuable To the editor: Some lands are just too valuable to trade and trade is what the Forest Service intends to do. The Forest Service lands to be forfeit in the trade contain important public attractions such as Wildcat Falls, rock outcrop features, Scott and Howe Creek, and Hardwood-Hemlock-Cedar Forests with unique and rare old growth characteristics. The land is located northwest of Watersmeet, west and northwesterly of County Line Lake.

Thanks for your support To the editor: The Iron County Cancer Unit Board extends a heart-felt thank you to all of the folks who donated during the WIKB Radio-thon on March 6. The ICCU would not be ale to provide the necessary assistance to Iron County cancer patients without the help of such generous people. As Mo mentioned during the Telephone Time program, the ICCU functions solely on donations and the need to increase financial support is necessary.
