After school program ends
To the Editor,
The Crystal Falls Contemporary Center deeply regrets that we are no longer able to continue the After School Youth Program as it was originally intended.
The center is currently reviewing possible youth programming options.  The state of Michigan licensing agency is currently reviewing the program. 
An anonymous complaint was filed online stating that it was the belief of the person filing the complaint, that the center needed to obtain a daycare license to operate its after school program.

Landowner insult
To the editor:
Regarding the Iron County Board meeting held on Sept 25, 2012, I would urge every voter to attend an Iron County Board meeting at least once so you can see how we are faced with a group of individuals who do not listen collectively to the voice of the people.
What happened to the board member that you elected from your district? Were they not elected to make up their own minds on issues and work in the best interest of their constituents?

A fine job

We wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the fine job our local West Iron County School personnel displayed at the outset of this school year.

The Caspian-Gaastra Fire Department would like to thank everyone that donated and helped make our raffle a success. We have our raffle once a year and all monies collected go into our equipment fund to purchase equipment that is needed.

Lake milfoil funds

I was amazed by Chicaugon Lake Association Vice President Joe Shubat's comment that out-of-town visitors don't mind a launch ramp fee for milfoil in a recent story.

What’s he done?

 Great, so Dan Benishek gave a speech at the Republican National Convention, that's nice.  But, can we please see some coverage in the Reporter about what Benishek has done since he's been in office?

Girl Scouts say ‘thanks’
To the editor:
 Thank you to the many volunteers and businesses that made our Girl Scout overnight at the Iron County Museum a success. The weather was beautiful and the atmosphere was great amongst our sister scouts.
 About 30 people attended our "First Annual Girl Scout Overnight."

My concerns
To the editor:
 I am a resident of the city and would like to express my concerns regarding the proposed building location of a retail development in the city of Crystal Falls.
 After reviewing the Retail Site Development preliminary plan that was dated June 2, 2012, I feel some issues need to be addressed if this development is going to proceed.
