‘Be a good neighbor’ To the editor: In the recent past, I have had a problem with some neighbor’s dogs, both in trespass and incessant barking. Another neighbor’s cat has been stalking and killing the birds at my birdfeeders and at another neighbor’s, also. We both take offense to that.

‘City can cut elsewhere’ To the editor: It is interesting in that the Iron River city manager claims that the only solution is cutting the police force by one or two police officers to save the city of Iron River from fiscal crisis.

‘Circumventing Mother Nature’ To the editor: I am a property owner on Pentoga Road and have been following this event since it started. I have been amazed that until Mr. Mellstrom commented on the project that it has pretty much flown under the radar.

‘FP drama is blessed’ To the editor: Forest Park drama is so blessed to be able to perform in an actual theatre, and a historical one at that. Not too long ago, the students had to perform in a gymnasium.

‘It was just another day’ To the editor: On Monday this past week there was a major water leak by the house next door to me. Water was gushing forth from the ground against the foundation of the house and running all around it. The city crew was on the scene and determined that the main line had ruptured. This all started about 8:15 a.m. Soon the hammering to clear the frost and digging around the gas line started, and the leak was found.
