FLORENCE, Wis.—The Badwater Bash and Bass Tourney are set for Saturday, July 12.
The Badwater Bash begins at 3 p.m. with food and family games. Activities include a bouncy tent for kids, minnow races, Fire Department Smoke House and face painting.
At 4 p.m., attendees can watch the official weighing of the fish and awards ceremony from the fishing tourney.
Entertainment scheduled includes the Badwater Ski-ters at 5 p.m. and local rock band OZ, which will perform from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on stage by the water.
“The Florence Volunteer Firemen are working the beer tent, so please support them by not carrying in beverages.”
The event is free to the public.
There is still space to preregister for the Badwater Bass Tourney on the Twin Falls Flowage in Florence. The cost is $75 per boat with a maximum of 75 boats allowed.
Cash prizes will be paid to the top-five finishers and the heaviest single bass. There is a guaranteed cash pot of at least $2,000.
This is a catch-and- release tournament with artificial baits only. Either a Wisconsin or Michigan license can be used on this border water.
All boats must check in at 5 a.m. on July 12 for a 6 a.m. start at Vagabond Park on U.S. 2. The official weigh-in begins at 4 p.m.
