CRYSTAL FALLS— Smart Gardening for the Home Gardener - open to any adult interested in learning more about gardening and topics specific to MSUE’s Smart Gardening Initiative. 
You do not need to be a currently certified Master Gardener to participate. This is a four week course that will meet once per week. The classes will include smart gardening information obtained through Michigan State University Extension research and practical ways to implement this information within the home garden.
Participants will complete ‘hands on’ practice sessions within a local garden. Educational topics will focus on Smart Gardening initiatives of smart soils, smart lawns, and smart plants and seeking techniques that will save home gardeners time, effort, money, and the environment.
Cost of this program is $50.  Call MSUE at 875-0606 to sign up. Class will meet in Iron County on Mondays of June 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  If you’ve missed the first session and are still interested in joining, please call to register as the class can be extended if there is enough interest.
