IRON RIVER—Stambaugh Elementary annual 5K Rainbow Run will be held this week on June 4, beginning at 9 a.m. at Nanaimo Park in Iron River.
Runners will pass six color stations set up to spray them with color. All colors are washable and environmentally safe. The 5K run is free and open to the public. Runners are asked to make a donation to the Iron County Cancer Unit upon registration, which begins at 8 a.m.
More than 500 students and staff will be participating in the event. This year it will be a Rainbow Run, similar to the very popular Color Run 5K’s that are taking place nationally.
The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. and follow the Apple Blossom Trail and end in Caspian.
For more information, call Stambaugh Elementary at 265-6141. If anyone would like to support our student’s fundraising for the Iron County Cancer Unit, they could drop off donations at the Stambaugh Elementary Office.
