IRON RIVER—There will be a free Skywarn class open to the public on Tuesday, April 29 at the Windsor Center.
The class uses pictures and video to describe the basics of thunderstorm development. An important part of the class is severe weather safety and how to be prepared.
Matt Zika from NOAA will be presenting the class. For those who would like to become part of the Skywarn network of weather spotters, he will cover how to report information to NOAA.
The class will last about two hours beginning at 6:30 p.m. Enter from the back door and take the elevator to the third floor, Room 301.
The class is sponsored by the Iron Range Amateur Radio Club.
