The Forest Park Environmental Science class went to the Listening Inn on March 26 to collect data on mammals. The students crosscountry skied through the trails, stopping to collect data on mammal tracks. Students observed coyote, fisher, shrew, deer, snowshoe hare and one wolf track. Student scientists used the stride, straddle, track length and width along with other spoor to identify the mammals. Carol and Les Kuhfal, owners of the Listening Inn, welcomed students to their log cabin inn on Clark Road near Amasa. They encourage other student groups to come out and explore nature.
