PHELPS, Wis.— The third annual Maple Syrup Fest will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5. The event will be centered at the Phelps School but will also take place at different locales.
See maple syrup being created by taking a free bus tour or driving tour through several local sugar bushes. Eat at the Maple Café, browse dozens of vendor’s handcrafted items at the craft show, try to get bragging rights by entering syrup in the judging contest, win items in the silent auctions and raffle drawings and learn how to tap a tree.
The Northwoods Children’s Museum will have an educational display and games for the kids, including maple taffy on the now. There will also be a presentation by Alice in Dairyland before the syrup judging results.
