In celebration of Heart Healthy Month, teachers at Stambaugh Elementary wore red last Friday, Feb. 7. Front row, from left: Lynn Fish, Courtney Busakowski, Lisa Anderson, Sandi Scalcucci, Linnea Johnson, Maggie Scheffer and Megan Mobly. Back row: Kelly Kahl, Jim Kralovec, Malissa Eagloski, Brenda Grubbs, Sue LaFountain, Terri O’Donnell, Vanessa McLain, Chris Calavari, Melody Harper, Jaci Baumgartner and Denise Maloney. “WIC schools has made a commitment to raising a healthier generation and developing healthy lifestyle goals/habits in our students,” said Maloney, health and wellness coordinator. “We also believe that it starts at the top, and we as a staff need to lead by example. Employee wellness is also very important to us. Research tells us that heart disease is the No. 1 killer in men and women in the U.S. today. We were proud to wear red today to celebrate National Heart Health Month.”
