CASPIAN--The annual spring membership drive for the Iron County Museum is underway.
The purpose of the membership drive is to generate funds for operating the museum, which includes 26 different buildings.  Purchasing a membership provides funds for operation and maintenance of the facility.
Among the major projects planned for 2014 will be restoration of its log structures and the arrangement of new and existing exhibits. Special events planned will include a revue dedicated to Stambaugh, a Scandinavian Log Cabin Day and the Miners Family Picnic, which will take place this summer.
The school visitations, which involve as many as 500 area students, is on the schedule for May, and there is a plan to continue the Environmental Day in August.            There are several levels of membership ranging from the individual membership at $25 up to the benefactor membership at $150.
