IRON RIVER—The city of Iron River is developing a master plan to guide long-term growth and development of the community.
Public involvement is vitally important to making an effective plan. The best way to give input will be to take a survey available at (see Recent News on front page). The survey will be posted on Thursday, Feb. 13. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete.
Although online responses are encouraged, persons without internet access may pick up a paper copy of the survey at City Hall or the West Iron County District Library.
Respondents to the survey can enter to win a drawing for one of more than a dozen gift certificates and prizes from local businesses.
The survey will be open for responses until March 16.
For further information about the survey or the master plan, contact Jerald Wuorenmaa, Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region (WUPPDR) planner, at or call 1-800-562-7614, extension 319.
