IRON RIVER—The annual Camp Gibbs Predator Hunt will be held Jan. 16-19. The predator hunt’s headquarters will be at Camp Gibbs Recreation Area west of Iron River along Gibbs City Road.
A mandatory registration will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, at which time participants will be presented with all rules concerning the hunt. Hunting can begin at 7 p.m. that evening.
A $25 registration fee will be charged. Cash prizes will be awarded. Winners are determined by a point system. Payouts will be given to the top five entries. Of the registration fees collected, 100 percent will be paid back as cash prizes.
Hunters can work in groups, as teams or as individuals.
Predators that will be a part of this hunt include coyote, bobcat and fox. Check -n deadline will be Sunday, Jan. 19 at noon.
A meal will be served during registration hours for a minimal cost. A gun raffle will take place during the registration.
