IRON RIVER—With the IronLine sled dog race less than a month away, Team IronLine event organizers are mushing ahead with race plans. The IronLine will be held on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in Iron River.
Organizers have announced upcoming meeting dates for team members and volunteers. Team IronLine meets every Monday at 6 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel, 121 Fifth Ave., in Iron River.
Volunteers are still welcome, according to organizers. If groups or individuals are interested in working road crossings, dog-handling or a number of other volunteer positions, they are asked to come to a meeting or contact a member of the team.
The road crossing volunteer meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. One person from each road crossing group must attend this meeting.
For the dog handlers, more information on training will be coming up with a meeting planned for Thursday, Jan. 30.
