ALPHA—The Porter School Market Place will be holding their December Christmas Craft Shows on Saturday, Dec.  14 in Alpha at the historic Porter School. The craft show will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Santa will be at the Market Place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to hear the children’s Christmas wishes.
Local author Lee Schultz will be at the Porter School Library doing a book signing. A portion of her sales goes to the Porter School Library and Resource Center. Donations from the library’s Back Room Used Books store helps support the area’s resource center.
Handcrafted items include quilts and afghans, holiday cards, notes and treasures, stained glass, ribbon jewelry, soaps and lotions, pet clothing, birdhouses, Pampered Chef, fabric crafts, stone jewelry, wool candle mats, handcrafted knives, baked goods, jams and jellies, holiday décor and cookies.
