AMASA—December will be a busy month in Amasa, right from the first day, as holiday planning will be a major focus.
On Sunday, Dec. 1, a children’s ornament making class will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Amasa library. There is no cost, and treats will be served. Children can bring one ornament home—the rest will be put on the community Christmas tree for people to purchase for a donation for the Amasa 125th birthday fund.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, Santa visits the Amasa Rec. Center at 5:30 p.m., with treats for all. There will be a Bino Webber Scholarship Fund bake sale, with all money raised going to a Hematite Township graduate’s scholarship opportunity.
On Sunday, Dec. 22, the Amasa Community Church school Christmas program takes place at the Amasa Rec Center at 3 p.m.
“Sleepover at the Stable” is the theme, with punch and cookies to follow. Everyone is welcome. Community Christmas caroling will follow at 5 p.m., so remember to dress warm.
