CRYSTAL FALLS—The Tufts Rondon VFW Post and Auxiliary will be holding a hunters breakfast at the post clubrooms on Superior Avenue on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 8 a.m. until noon.
The breakfast is open to the public and will feature eggs and sausage, potatoes, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, juice, milk and coffee. The Amasa ladies will be baking their famous cardamom “Finnish biscuit.” Take outs will also be provided. The cost of the breakfast is $7.00 per person.
In planning the breakfast, the committee will be calling members to take part. “Many of our members can’t get out to help,” said a post official, “but want to participate and so someone will be contacting them in the next week or so. A donation is optional, but many have expressed interest and asked to be notified of VFW activities.
“We’re hoping to have a good turnout,” said a spokesperson. “Come out, enjoy the food and company and help out the vets at the same time.”
