Troopers respond to Breitung collision PDF Print E-mail

IRON MOUNTAIN—Troopers from the Iron Mountain State Police Post responded to a personal injury crash, which was reported at 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the intersection of U.S. 141 and East Breitung Avenue in Breitung Township.
A vehicle driven by Walter Moore, 52, of Iron River was traveling eastbound on East Breitung Avenue when he failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on 141. The northbound vehicle was driven by John Nowicki, 49, of Niagara, Wis.
A passenger in the Moore vehicle was transported to the Dickenson County Hospital for unknown injuries. All persons involved were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol is not suspected. Moore was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.
Troopers at the scene were assisted by Integrated First Response EMS and the Breitung Township Fire Department.
