IRON RIVER—The Iron County Ducks Unlimited Committee has announced that the 35th annual DU banquet will be held at the George Young Recreational Complex on Saturday, Oct. 26, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets for the event must be purchased prior to the banquet. They are available from committee members, Miners’ Harvest Jewelers, Saigh Insurance, T&T Gun Sales or The Gun Barn.
There will be many door prizes including a grand door prize of a kayak package. Other quality prizes include guns, limited edition art, unique DU products, Ducks Unlimited Gun of the Year and the popular commemorative shotgun given in memory of Jim Sapletal.
North America’s waterfowl and other wildlife species face more and more threats every day: habitat loss, predation, pollution, disease and more. Ducks Unlimited is working hard to identify the factors that limit wildlife populations and design conservation programs that insure healthy wildlife for the future.
Since 1937, Ducks Unlimited’s vital habitat work has had a positive impact on wildlife populations and helped to guarantee the resource for future generations.
The Ducks Unlimited Committee is looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new friends at the banquet. If you have questions, comments, concerns or need tickets, please call Dan French, chairperson, at 906-265-5725.
