Sheriff’s office makes arrest for area thefts PDF Print E-mail

CRYSTAL FALLS—The Iron County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into the theft of decorations from the Evergreen Cemetery in Crystal Falls. During the investigation Sheriff’s deputies uncovered evidence of theft from retail stores in the city of Iron River.
On Sept. 13 Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carol Herbert, 60, from Crystal Falls in connection with the thefts. Herbert was charged with seven counts of receiving and concealing stolen property, four counts of larceny, and three counts of retail fraud.
On Sept. 16 Herbert was arraigned in the Iron County Trial Court on the aforementioned charges. Herbert’s next scheduled court appearance is on Sept. 30 at 2:30 p.m.
