IRON MOUNTAIN—“The Fur Trade in North America” is the title of a new PowerPoint program which will be presented at 10 a.m., Thursday Aug. 8 in Fornetti Hall at Bay College West in Iron Mountain.
The program is one of an ongoing series of programs sponsored by the Bay College L.I.F.E. group. The public is cordially invited to attend at no cost.
This program will be presented by Walter Summers, retired Natural Resource Conservationist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and Cultural Resources Specialist.
This program will follow a journey through time and space to highlight the entire era of the North American fur trade from its beginnings to its ending.
